Synopsis
This film adapts the first 100 pages of Les Misérables. This part of the story is usually condensed, even though it lays the foundation for the character of Jean Valjean. In this adaptation, we dive deeply into understanding who Jean Valjean truly is and the journey he undertakes. From a man broken by 20 years of injustice and suffering, further crushed by the rejection he faces upon his release from prison, to the transformed soul we come to know — one who has reclaimed his humanity.
